This year again, from 26 to 28 October, concentrated cuisine and exquisite wines will meet the pure joie de vivre of the Dolomites. The already legendary “Gannerhof Opening” once again sets the pace for three days of dolce vita at its finest. Landlord Josef Mühlmann and his colleagues from “Culinaria Tirolensis” welcome East Tyrol’s starred young chefs who are currently causing a sensation. With exquisite champagne, selected wines as well as lots of dancing and singing it will again be a big party deep into the night.
This year the following festival days are dedicated to “Les Collectionneurs”. Festival founder Chris Oberhammer receives concentrated, star-laden support from Italy and France and invites to an exclusive dinner in his restaurant Tilia on Saturday evening. Not only Theodor Falser from the restaurant “Johannesstube”, which is currently on everyone’s lips with his “Taste Nature” cuisine, but also Jessica Préalpato, no less than Alain Ducasse’s master Patissière from the flagship restaurant in the famous Hotel Plaza Athénée in Paris.
Finally, on Sunday this year’s grand finale will take place at the “Klaudehof” in Dobbiaco. Chris Oberhammer invites a group of star chefs to one of his best producers on the farm, together the chefs provide a “Brunch deluxe” in picnic style like you have never experienced it before!
Book your desired event today, the available places are rare.
There is a common saying that many cooks allegedly spoil the broth.
The South Tyrolean star chef CHRIS OBERHAMMER skilfully refuted this claim with the GOURMET FESTIVAL HOCHPUSTERTAL, which he founded in 2014 and in which for the first time gastronomic talents from Italy and Austria demonstrated their skills together across borders. From the successful event a constant exchange between the hard core of the participants grew which now establish the association CULINARIA TIROLENSIS as a permanent institution.
The association has set itself the task of cultivating and developing regional cuisine across borders. The members should learn from each other through mutual exchange and cooperation and appear together at events. At the heart of the association are regional products which one would like to take care of in cooperation with local producers. Culinaria Tirolensis is also committed to promoting young people. The aim is to arouse enthusiasm for the different job profiles in the catering trade and to promote trainees.

The Dolomites have always had an enormous impact on the imagination of all those who have seen them. No one has remained immune to their extraordinary fascination, to the extent so that they are universally considered “the most beautiful mountains on Earth”.
On June 26, 2009, Italy’s stunning Dolomite mountains have been declared a United Nations World Heritage Site.
“The Dolomites are widely regarded as being among the most attractive mountain landscapes in the world. Their intrinsic beauty derives from a variety of spectacular vertical forms such as pinnacles, spires and towers, with contrasting horizontal surfaces including ledges, crags and plateaus, all of which rise abruptly above extensive talus deposits and more gentle foothills.
A great diversity of colours is provided by the contrasts between the bare pale coloured rock surfaces and the forests and meadows below.
